Our Story
Every campaign, milestone, and event that built DOSS, told year by year, the way it happened.
How DOSS began
Before the events and the campaigns, there was just a question, and a few students who refused to walk past it.
In 2017, four students at Cairo Engineering looked at student life and decided not to walk past a problem they could name. They shared one belief: that every student carries untapped potential, and that you shouldn't pass through a place for years and leave no trace behind.
What they wanted wasn't service providing, it was community organizing, helping each person learn to solve their own problems and then help the next person do the same. That made DOSS the first student activity at the faculty built on it.
To find the problem worth solving, they surveyed students and sat with them one to one. The answer was clear: a place to study. That became the Study Room, and DOSS was on its way. Every year since has added a new chapter.
